Day 12: Two Quick Prompts
Sally Miller gives two options for funny fictional lines
Welcome to day 12! Only a couple of days left to go.
Friendly reminder that if you have not been receiving emails for the challenge and you want to, you might need to turn on notifications for the humor challenge section (click the button next to the humor challenge section under “Notifications” here).
Today you have an option between two prompts from humor writer Sally Miller. Choose one or do both!
Think of a famous writer, actor, or celebrity and write a one-sentence out of the office reply in the voice of that person.
Write an email subject line asking for a customer satisfaction survey on an event that would not normally receive feedback (a child’s birthday party, funeral, anniversary etc).
Sally Miller is a PDX-based writer. She lives with her husband, two children, and a huge Lab mix who refuses to pick up after himself. You can read her work on McSweeney’s, The Belladonna Comedy, The Rumpus, Slackjaw, and more.
