Lol that reading hack! I always start the year “behind” because I’m counting when i start the books?? Have to rethink the whole thing now! I like using Bookly to record my reading. Lots of functionality including a timer that adds up your time (kindle won’t do that). What did you think of Mom Rage? Considering putting it on my 2024 TBR... 48 books is impressive to me! When do you do most of your reading?
Ha! I would have fewer books if I counted that way 😂. And I don’t know Bookly. Will have to check it out.
Mom Rage did a good job outlining a lot of what causes it (and had some relatable scenarios). It’s based on her viral New York Times piece so I think if you liked that it’s a good choice.
I am mostly getting reading done via audiobook while on walks or commuting. Want to try to read more with my eyes in the new year but hard to find the time!
Love the reading hack! I’m stealing that idea...I’m tearing through a great book right now (Blackout, Sarah Hepola) and am going to make sure I don’t finish it until after the New Year to help pad my 2024 numbers. Great round-up!
Thanks for posting your full reading list! We have similar taste in books, I just wish I had tracked all of mine from this last year. I enjoyed Pineapple Street and discovered the writing of Kevin Wilson this year. Now is Not the Time to Panic was very unique. Looking forward to checking out your challenge in January!
Oh nice! I also really liked Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson. If you have other reading recs from the year I would take them. And glad to hear you are checking out the challenge :)
They have listened to the Wimpy Kid audiobooks a lot over the last few years and our library has most if not all of them on audio. Definitely worth checking out!

It’s a good hack! I have heard good things about that book too.

I liked that one a lot too! He has very funny, relatable narrators.
You've done a lot of fantastic reading this year. I recently purchased Yellowface on audio and am looking forward to it.
FYI: My daughter, who loves Calvin and Hobbes, is currently obsessed with Fox Trot.
I listened to Yellowface on audio and really liked it. Curious to hear what you think. And we haven’t done Fox Trot yet so I appreciate that tip!
Chewbacca pug?
Ha, yes!
You had a great reading year! I wish I kept better track. Once again you've inspired me! Looking forward to the humor writing challenge!
I just keep track on Goodreads! I was thinking I need a better system for tracking shows I watched because I’m drawing a blank on most of them 😂.
Love hearing what the kiddos are reading! I've wondered how they do audio for books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid so I'll have to check those out.
